After twenty years of serving individuals, families, and communities as a licensed social worker, Barbara trained as a Life Coach with Martha Beck, Inc. 

Life has an interesting way of coming full circle. Barbara grew up in Germany as an "Army Brat", near Wildflecken and Bad Kreuznach. She has been a military spouse for 14 years, living in the US but traveling internationally regularly for fun. 2015 finds Barbara and her husband moving to Germany, near Landstuhl/Ramstein/Kaiserslauten. She understands the life of active duty families, as well as National Guard and Reserve families. Barbara served as "Family Readiness Group" Chair during her husband's deployments in 2003 and 2005. Barbara was a Military & Family Life Consultant from 2009 to 2013 in Massachusetts, speaking at Yellow Ribbon Events, family meetings, and supporting military members in all branches of service.
